English- 10 levels (Each level-40 hrs) 

Conversation I (20hrs) (Prerequisite: ESL Level 2)

Conversation II (20hrs) (Prerequisite: ESL Level 4)

Conversation III (20hrs)(Prerequisite: ESL Level 7)

American Pronunciation (20hrs) (Prerequisite: ESL Level 4)

American Idioms (20hrs)(Prerequisite: ESL Level 5)

How to Write Essays & Compositions (40hrs)(Prerequisite: ESL Level 8)

Students who already have some knowledge of English will be tested for placement in the appropriate level. There is a $20.00 testing fee.

Computer Training

Intro. to the Personal Computer-(20hrs)(Prerequisite: ESL Level 4)

Microsoft Word -(40hrs)*

Students must have completed ESL Level 5 and Introduction to the Personal Computer.

GED (In Spanish)

GED - Math  (60 hrs)
GED - General Subjects/ESL (60 hrs)**

** Students must have completed ESL Level 3 for the GED - General Subjects/ ESL.

Instructors

The Hispanic Institute's ESL courses are taught by a pool of seasoned professional instructors experienced in teaching adult learners. Their experience includes teaching in industry, in colleges and universities, and in various other settings, both in the U.S. and abroad.
